Why Bernardsville?
“Because this town is a great place for families,” says Meghan Glynn. For the Sisters Glynn, growing up in Bernardsville in a big Irish family was a little slice of heaven. All six sisters (no brothers) attended St. Elizabeth’s Elementary School, and were raised in a musical home by two artistic parents who still live in the area. Today, four of the sisters, Meghan, Brigid, Michaela, and Shannon continue to reside in Bernardsville—while Erin lives in Clinton, and Maura calls Budd Lake home.

Favorite local spots: “As kids, we lived just two doors from Jerolaman’s General Store, so we were always there buying penny candy,” says Erin. Shannon still enjoys hiking at the Audubon Society’s local bird sanctuary; Brigid fondly recalls sharing popcorn with her sisters at the Bernardsville Cinema; and Maura reminisces about lazy summer days at the Bernardsville Pool, where the sisters now take their own children.

Tell us more: “Our ancestors lived in County Clare, Ireland,” says Michaela. “Our parents, and each of us, play musical instruments and we all have trained voices. We were raised singing multiple harmonies, and still sing together today.”
