Why Kinnelon? My two grown sons, husband and I have lived in Kinnelon’s Fayson Lake community for 18 years—and I grew up on this very lot. As an artist, I appreciate the area’s many aesthetic features, and also enjoy time in my home studio overlooking the lake. I also love that Kinnelon is so close to Manhattan.

Favorite local spots? I spend time painting and drawing at nearby Sabey’s Beach and at the Smoke Rise Farms stables. My family especially enjoys the Taste of Reality Deli. In fact, I credit them with feeding my children when they were growing up.

Tell us about your work... I am grateful for the opportunity to create on a very large scale. As part of my master’s thesis, I painted female forms on silk panels, 28 feet high by 5 feet wide, for the Ben Shahn Atrium Gallery at William Paterson University. They will hang at the Records Building gallery at the Morristown Courthouse until January 11.
